The engine is overhauled and ready to install, and the fuselage is being covered.<\/p>\n<p>Taylorcraft L-2M \u201cGrasshopper\u201d<br \/>This aircraft was in a group of aircraft nicknamed \u201cGrasshopper\u201d because pilots could \u201chop\u201d in and out of small grass\u00a0flying strips and roads. It carried a pilot and spotter\u00a0who communicated via radio to artillery batteries, miles\u00a0behind front lines, and told them how to adjust their big\u00a0guns for greater accuracy when striking enemy troops.
